Ed, you do great close up work. The layout doesn't look that good in person. I'm waiting to see more of your layout

You have done a power of magnificent work in the year I've been away, I am very envious of the time you must be able to commit to your layout, and you seem to have no problems in filling up all that space with buildings and scenery. I love your RR 'cause it gives the sense of distance, and looks like your trains are actually going somewhere and not just to the other side of the table. Misngth

I do often think about Charlie's layout when we are discussing passenger trains. He has the track structure and the space to run realistic passenger trains.

Seeing is believing.Recently I had the privilege to have visited Charlie's layout---it is more impressive in person.I was always amazed at the size of his train room from the photos,it's huge --- I could probably fit my entire layout in the corner of his room.What was also more impressive to me was his collection of motive power---it was great to be able to photograph his beautiful collection of locomotives---here's another example

I still have 10 to do, a winter project...I have 5 or 6 RTR that need some trucks and couplers and weathering so I will be able to add 16 more cars and another locomotive to that train . The I1 is at its limit right now. It pulls the hill fine with some speed but if you slow it down it loses traction at the steepest section.
