Track has been laid with the exception of Brockville chemicals (A-40) and A-28 & A-29 as those areas need to be elevated and I haven't decided how to do so yet. I powered up the trackage temporarily and the B23-7 didn't seem to have any issues and it ran smoother over the joints compared to my last venture.

I'll get some pics up later. Put a few cars and vehicles on to get a feel for the over all look. The upper left corner is still unfinished and a collection point for my construction phase.

I may use a six axle occasionally but the track arrangement is more suited to four axle units.

A bit of an update on the Alma Sub. June and July saw nothing done on the layout and then in August we decided to put our house on the market. My wife has been off work since May and we were looking to downsize so I pulled out the bench work and de-cluttered the house. Last month we found out that my wife will be off work indefinitely so we took the house off the market and are in a wait and see mode for now.
So, with the new circumstances I am looking at some type of shelf layout maybe 18 inches wide and 12-16 feet long. I have also been giving my era and road a lot of thought and for this configuration it will be set in the 1977-80 timeframe. I will be modelling CN on PEI which was pretty much a branchline but the infrastructure was still in reasonably good condition and 40' boxcars were the norm. Most freight cars were also home road but CP, BCOL and leased tankcars made an appearance. Once I settle on the length I will decide on what types of industries will work and probably use background flats or a photo backdrop.
