Well, it's been a whole year and well over 3000 posts, so I thought it is time to start a new thread. Welcome one and all.....

Yeah, it's kind of strange starting again on page 1 after getting to page 224 in the last thread. This is the seventh thread we've had in the 5 1/2 years we've been open, some were cut a bit shorter than others, but most have run a full year before being retired.
One of my all-time favorite lines from the movies is from one called,"Things Change". It's a tongue-in-cheek movie about an inept mobster and an Italian shoemaker. In one scene, the shoemaker hands a mobster boss something he got from another boss. The new boss recognized it and says, "It's always nice to meet a new friend".... That's what the Hobo Camp here is all about, meeting with old friends and making new ones along the way......

Morning all. Back from Dr. and had wound reopened. She massed the heck out of it. Said she thought it was from the big bruise internally. I had healed too fast inside where internal stiches were. Needed to reopen and heal. Original incision was 4 inches long. Unhealed is only one inch. Results, back bandaged up tight again.
Yesterday was not too bad heat and humidity wise. Had a good breeze yesterday afternoon. Wind does blow across those wide open flat fields. That helps. Bear had hit only one feeder. Replaced it with 55 gallon drum converted with reinforced driven in the ground legs. Top has band with bolt. We'll see. Sprayed all the shooting lanes with Ranger. Not a lot of spraying to do as Ranger kills it all. Been sprayed for two years in a row. Stuff really works. Friend Fred had purchased a Polaris 500 4 wheeler. Made hauling corn and backpack sprayer deep into the woods a lot easier. Results last night. Only 6 ticks. Deep Woods Off and a special clothing spray helped.
Mayor stuff rest of the day and night.
Have a great week ahead.

Two days of rain and humidity and I have a ton of stuff to work on outside. Well, at least I am working on our foyer. Patching, priming, and now getting ready to paint. Hopefully it will be done today, otherwise I know what I will be working on tomorrow! I hope all of you have an awesome day!

Good evening all.
Storms come this way from the west, tornado in Indiana same storm system making its way here, already having flash flood warnings from over night rain fall last night. Uneventful day at work.
Too blah of a day to work on anything today. May get out a DVD or two to watch tonight.
May even brake out a old game or two and see if it will run in windows 8 or I may just cash on the couch till noon tomorrow.

Good morning all. Another "average" day, around 107. RB, you talk about 100% humidity, we were sitting at 7% yesterday. Remember, it's a dry heat. No rain in sight, even though we're ten days into our "monsoon" season. In a day or so, we'll be fifth on the list for the most consecutive number of days without rain, says the weather lady.... We used to just have "dust storms", no particular name for the season, it just happened. Now we have "haboobs" (sometimes the old-timers slip and still call them dust storms), and they occur now during a defined time span. I'm not sure I like all the new changes the world is bringing to our doorstep.

Morning. Hot and humid again. Was starting outside to mow [mine and two neighbors'] and till garden [grass growing both places] and TV 11 calls for an interview at 10:45. Messes up the morning. Delays much needed chores.
Pay day for State retirees.
Well, $.99 hotdog day at the grill [red hotdogs, not those all beef things]. All the way [mustard, chili and onions] with slaw. Ummm
Have a good one.

Good Morning Blue
It's overcast and 65 degrees
We had rounds of rain yesterday but no storms.
So much rain lately that I'm losing the weed battle in the yard.
Not much going on here, no train news. But I do get to chat with some of the guys late in the evening.

Not much went on today. I spent much of the day in bed as I was hurting quite a bit. After the wound vac dressing was changed I watched some TV and that's about it.
Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
