Server issues

Both Big Blue and FlattBear are having server "time out", issues. Pat is diligently working on the problem, but if you have difficulty with accessing or staying on this site, we are aware and working on it.  Sorry about that...

Looks like things are running well. I think Pat spent the whole day yesterday trying to sort things out. Flatt Bear is loading exceptionally fast now and so is Big Blue.

Please let us know here if anyone starts getting "time out" errors.

Just another heads up, but our service provider has said that they are moving Big Blue to a newer, more secure server. They never said when that was going to happen, but today, we've been on and off line several times, so I'm guessing that's what's happening.

This is what they sent me, no time frame or how long:

Quote:In the upcoming weeks, your services will be migrated. The following services may be affected during migration:
bigbluetrains.com

We do our best to run our updates with no disruption, but we may need to take things offline.

So don't panic if you can't get on Big Blue, just try a bit later....

Just been advised by GoDaddy that our migration to our new server is complete. We may have been off-line for a while during the transition, but we're back and more secure than ever... so they say. Can you not feel the love oozing out from our new settings??? Icon_e_surprised eh!, no difference so we'll have to go with what they tell us.

Anyway, thank you all at GoDaddy for making this transition flawless.. Worship

Thanks for keeping a steady hand on the helm, Don. This site is incredibly stable, functional and fun. So glad I stumbled upon it into a land of such good people.

Thank you kind sir, our stability comes from Pat (Duffy) who picks the right paths to take and fills the potholes before we get there. You are right about our members, an incredible group, some have been with us from way back on the original Gauge some 25 years ago.  Not only fine modelers, but good friends as well.
