June 1958.Brand new CNR FP9A class GPA-17e 6538 is seen at Leetown after completing her test run from the GMD plant in London Ontario.All new and rebuilt locomotives from the London plant are sent on a trial run to Leetown which is located about 50 miles east of London.Usually the local railfanners are out in force when they know new power is running and the Leetown crews make every effort to put on a good show.For all you modellers,Rapido has also recently released a model of this locomotive.
