Got the wallpapers on, light gray primer as a base coat and concrete for the lower parts and a layer of black wash. Aluminum foils is a very delicate, nasty and tricky wallpaper... 
I am undecided how to do the roof. The black was a quick and dirty decision to get rid of a "white" roof.
The cardboard is only 1mm thick but the structure is reenforced with 1cm*1cm wood strips and all corners are build with 1cm*1cm wood strips inside.
