Our first race is The Super Bowl of Racing... The Daytona 500!!
When Richard Petty was asked (years ago) "Why is this considered the Super Bowl? Why do you have your "Top Race" in the beginning of the season and not the end?
he replied... "It's when everyone is their healthiest... "
And it still holds true today! All the work on every car (and backup car) is at it's peak, all the teams are at their best, all the drivers have had a "nice restful break" (we hope) and everything comes down to a few short - breathtaking seconds... from turn 4 to the checkered flag.......
Both the Gatoraids ended with the top 2 drivers in each race, almost side by side!! Fantastic recin'!!!! Just fantastic!!!
