Thanks Gary. The tearing up is always the hard part but it has been fun laying out the new track. The only kind of track plan I use are usually rough sketches on a scrap piece of paper. I like the creative freedom it gives me to kind of make it up as I go. The major expansion will add another 30 feet to the mainline run and another 10-12 feet to the new mine branch. This evening my wife was looking at the pictures and she asked me, "what is the point of having engines and cars if you keep tearing up the track?" I really didn't have a good answer but she makes a good point.
I hate when she's right.
