I am not an attorney. I don’t play one on TV! I am just a retired Industrial Designer commenting on Patent and Copyright laws.
You'll need an actual patent/copyright attorney to fully answer the questions. Best to do things for your own use, keep how it was done to yourself and despite being "B.F.F.E.'s" with somebody, let them come up with their own E-44's!
