The UPY 800-805 have four stacks (two double stacks) on all UP and UPY photos. All older photos from the same units under the C&IM ownership show only tow very short stacks. I assume UP did some modifications. May be only the exhaust system got modified?
Is it known what else has been modified by UP on the C&IM units?
ps. The KATO model of the UP 2804 has only two stacks.
pps. I am glad you did not ask if I refrain from further SD38-2 after we have concluded that they never have been in Vernon
