So how friendly is Fostoria for railfans these days, Larry?

For awhile there (back in the '90s) it was a little dicey... there were a couple of idiots in the area that went around with radios and talked to the crews (or more properly at the crews... they'd never respond, other than to ask for ID). They'd also walk around like the owned the place, and harass other railfans. It really queered the pitch for legitimate railfans for quite awhile.

Well I was up there from around 7:30AM to around 1:30pm and there was no hassles from CSX or the local Police..In fact I notice a cop car went by twice on the street next to the station and didn't even slow down...Of course the group of railfans(10 or 12) was well behave..I didn't notice any stupidity.

The city will be building a railfan park.

My biggest complaint is there isn't a restroom near by.
