British steam locos
#23
I think I'm just gonna go ahead and order a Bachmann A3 and get then get the kit a lil later.

Hopefuly it's a good runner...but even if it's not, the thing is freakin beautiful!

Seems odd... We have companies that build locos for the USA market and they rarely put out decent steam... I think we can safely say there is no more than 11 decent steamers in n-scale (Athearns Challengers/Big Boys, Bachmann Heavy Mountain, J Class, and Consolidation, Model Power Pacific, Walthers 0-8-0, 2-8-4, and the new articulated, and the Kato Mike/Daylight) and thats if we're lucky with the ones we pull off the shelf for some of them.

But you look at Japanese and European prototypes and theres SO many to choose from, and from brands like Bachmann and Kato.

Kato could turn around and create a new body shell for a Hudson tomorrow and deliver us what would most likely be a fantastic model.

Bachmann could probably deliver us some nice looking Pacific class locos in very short order, not to mention 10 wheelers....

what about some of these 0-10-0 German locos that we see from other manucatures over on the other side of the pond? We could have some nice Santa-Fe or Selkirks!
