Great details in those photos that are very useful to me and the era that I am modeling. Some things that I noticed:

1) Most cars have archbar trucks and truss rods.
2) About half of the passenger cars have closed vestibules
3) The predominant freight cars are box cars and refrigerators
4) the gondolas with coal in the 3rd and 4th photo, and the gondola with the severe buckle in the center a la John Allen. I guess there was a prototype for some of his modeling!!

Plenty of stuff useful here. I will go back to these photos to give me inspiration and ideas. Thanks for posting.
