I have been putting this off for about a year now and finally got around to it. I started with a Bowser L-1 and a few pics, saw some discrepancies, and began the rough cuts and tender details.
The Lehigh & New England bought a group of Mikes from the PRR in the early forties, changed the # boards and splattered on a coat of paint, and set them off to work. Other wise they were unchanged. I was wondering if any one knows what the PRR's # was for this same engine? I would like to see if there are any shots of it when it was still in the Pennsy's ownership. My thinking is the more reference photos the better.
