After what seemed like an eternity to tin the new solder tip, the car walls was soldered today. I'm sure there are much better solderers out there, but as a first time brass kit builder I'm more than satisified! Minimal solder leak to the outside of the car, and the tape I used to keep the parts together handled the heat just fine without melting:
Maybe I've been a bit generous with the solder on the inside, perhaps I should reduce it the next time..?
