Floquil Poly S acrylics
#1
Okay, I've been reading around everywhere and I'm confused now....
I've seen that Floquil Enamel range has primers in the range. The Poly S acrylics do not as far as I can see.
Therefore, do the acrylic paints require a primer before painting, and if so which one?
I've had a few paint disasters recently and I'm trying to get to the bottom of why and how. (painting unpainted plastic shells).
I've not had this issue prior, I've actually painted the 'old' Floquil directly on to unpainted shells before with no problems, and also on a painted shell that covered nicely, but I hear using a primer is better, however in the Poly S range there isn't one (there is a paint with the color of primer, but it's not a primer apparently....)

Any advise you can give me?

BTW: I paint using an airbrush most of the time.
