The car sat in the impound yard for a good number of weeks because there was no manifest to identify the contents of the car. Since we here on the Canyon State RR took this as a security breach, we had no choice but to impound the car until we got the proper clearances. Our security is usually provided by the Pinkerton Group, but we had to use an alternate for this job since they were busy tracking down a couple of train robbers that were heading down to South America. We knew that we could count on the Keystone Kops to do this job, and so after about three months they we able to determine that we were safe to release the car and it's contents.
(Just having some fun at the expense of the rivet counters, too much real choochoo for dollars for me lately)
And that's the true story as to why there was a delay... Missing AEI tags? We don't need no stinkin' AEI tags, not when you have the Keystone Kops working for you.
