Wanted: Bachman DCC controller.
#5
Hi there,

YOu should not have to modify the Bachman loco to run with the Atlas unit. They both conform to standards set by the NMRA so they are interchangable.
The Atlas is of a better quality than the Bachman, and you can do more with it. As long as you set the controller to the DCC address of the loco you want to control, it should be fine. The default address out of the box is 3 for most DCC locos, but often it can be programmed to the same number as printed on the cab. IF all else fails, you may need to reset the Bachman loco, and it should work with address 3.

To get to grips with the basics of DCC, have a look here: http://www.tonystrains.com/tonystips/dc ... /index.htm
That should help to get some idea of what it is and what it can do.
