Howdy;
Can't go wrong with a CNJ 4-6-0 camelback! Thumbsup Shame the 777 was cut up in mid over-haul. The layout I am building will have both CNR 4-6-0's and CNJ 4-6-0's working together! It is based on a "what if" concept of if the CNJ had a subsidiary called “the Lehigh & Delaware River” which runs parts of the old L&NE / NYS&W main line in North Jersey and parts of the DL&W Branchville line. Power will be three RS1's, one of my Key CNJ T38's and my CNR H6! The idea is that the CNJ took over the lines in the mid 50's, similar operations to the CNJ's Lehigh & New England Railway. My layout will be operating approx 1968/70 time frame, a good 15 years after the CNJ takeover. The steam locomotives are used in summer excursion service & standby in-case one or more of the RS1's is down (2 ex NYS&W – 1 CNJ). I'd always like that area of North Jersey, it's going to be fun to build! Have fun - Dave, London UK (ex New Hope Pa)
