Nothing wrong with suggesting topics that may have been covered sometime in the past. They may prompt references to past posts about a topic that provide more information for those who are interested. Personally, I had forgotten about the threads Ed referenced. Having the whole idea for a layout brought up and then augmented by references to past threads might just fire some one's imagination and provide some inspiration.
