Peanuts

I don't model that kind of stuff, but for some strange reason I keep trying to encourage those who do.

Certainly nothing wrong with that! Lot's of us that don't model particular era's or themes might be aware of something that would interest others and you never know when you'll get someone interested in that "different" industry or layout theme. For instance, although I'm no longer interested in the theme, I have all sorts of photos and information about the many logging railroads that once operated in Kentucky.

Since you brought up the topic of peanuts, thought I'd just add some more information, should any one be interested. Peanut processing and uses for them is indeed an interesting industry and not something that you see modeled.
