Building the NM&RC

Well, we're back home after a week of camping. We have a small camper trailer, and went for a round trip about 1200 km long (750 miles), left on sunday and returned yesterday. A lovely and scenic route crossing the Hardanger plateau to the western Norway, with the return trip over the Haukeli mountains a little more south. For those interested, I have posted some pics in a Norwegian camping forum (sorry, Norwegian only), pics at the bottom of the thread. Totally OT, except for a couple of train station and railway ferry pics at the end, but a nice way to show off our beautiful country... Wink Smile

Anyway, on our way back home, we dropped by the Norwegian Roundhouse importer and picked up a few things; enough track and turnouts to finish tracklaying, a couple of open freight car kits, two passenger car kits and a conductor's car kit, and well as this battery driven weird thing:

Vigdis is working on this little critter right now, while I work on the framework outside. It's hotter than ... here right now, so progress is very slow, but hopefully we'll have something to show for by the end of the day.
