Thanks for the compliments and encouragement. I've made some more progress yesterday and this morning. I found a tender water hatch cover in my scrap box, added a rectangle of styrene underneath it, and glued it to the top of the saddle tank to replace the circular blob that was on there before.
I also made a little pocket on the inside of the shell to accept the back of the frame. The frame will be held to the shell using this pocket at the rear, and a screw through the cylinder saddle. You can also see the new rear beam and coupler pocket in this photo.
Finally, the rear "frame" extension. I like the way this turned out, so now it is time to make one for the other side.
