There are daylight bulbs available for fluorescent fixtures .They usually will have the letters DX in the lamp type. such as F 40 T-12DX or F 32 T-8DX. Just match the bulb type to the ballast in the fixture. That is what I have in my basement , they give me enough light that I do not need a flash.
You can see the lighting is fine ,no odd color shift. I have 7 fixtures with 4 lamps in each one mounted to the ceiling that gives me good coverage in a room 25 X 40 foot .
