Thanks for taking the time to write up your summary...especially the inclusion of a roster! I've not previous encountered a nice summary of the Deadwood (aside from Hilton's book).
Are you familiar with the series in the Narrow Gauge & Shortline Gazette from 1980-81 on the other operation in the Black Hills? Part 1, Jan/Feb '80, was the FE&MV C&NW, Part 2, Mar/Apr '80, was equipment, Part 3, May/June '81 covered the trolley line, and Part 3+, Jul/Aug '81, was on the C&NW...with plans for a 4-8-0.
