There are two side view pictures of the FE&MV 4-8-0s in Mildred Fielder's Railroads of the Black Hills, on pp. 132 and 133. The pictures were taken after the FE&MV consolidated with the Chicago and North Western, so they bear C&NW markings and numbering. According to Fielder, the five FE&MV 4-8-0 engines were all built in Schenectady NY; three by the Schenectady Locomotive Works, two by AlCo after its merger with SLW.
