Milwaukee Road in Wisconsin, 1950's

Heading West through the yard you see the bunkhouse. The house was used for layovers, it had showers, lockers and beds. It is scratchbuilt using Milw. plans. I still don't know how anyone could sleep in there with all the train noise 24 hrs a day.

a little further and you come across the extra long speeder shed and the MOW track.

All the way on the west end is the large A frame hoist, two RIP tracks a water tower. At one time portage had five such tanks.
