I primed and painted my Little 6, and isolated the motor brushes from the frame. I got too hasty and installed a decoder before testing everything on DC, and I let the magic smoke out

I also picked this up for $10 at a sale:
The box says "The General," but it's not the General. It looks the loco from "Petticoat Junction." For an old-time locomotive, it's really big--it's as big as my Bowser Casey Jones 4-6-0:
Some Googling leads me to believe this is the Tyco Rogers 1890 Old Time Loco, and it's really OO scale.
