Lastly for today... I have a few shots of the boiler after I removed the incorrect details or stuff that I knew I could make look better. Lots of sanding and filling were in order in this steep.
Some work was also done to the cab to give it a less toy like appearance. I thinned down the thickness of the roof with some sand paper. It also required some thin plastic shims be added to get the fit to be tighter. I did a side by side comparison to one of the unmodified boilers to illustrate the change that I made. This work took a couple hours to get right but I think it was worth it.
