Caught one of Catt's Grande Valley Railway grain hoppers at Absecon Mills
This was the power on WPMA-40X that brought in the hoppers

I'll say. Nice-looking paint and lettering, and very protoypical looking.

I was doing some switching and came across this boxcar I bought at the Lansing train show a few years ago. I thought the logo was quite clever. The guy had quite a few boxcars and flat cars he was selling, but they unfortunately were all the same road number, otherwise I would have picked up a few more. I like the custom decaled freight cars and sort of collect them.

Since I have the photobucket account open, here a couple of cars I painted and lettered years ago. The tank car is for my father-in-law who was a biology and chemistry teacher in Corunna. I made it when he retired from teaching. The second one is for one of my brothers -- his first layout was the Ohio River & Western. I lettered the car in memory of his "first."

Look at what I saw on the Grande Valley Railway this am.These two Shore River cars are waiting for the Grand Rapids Eastern to pick them up for transfer to the grain elevator at Lowell, MI.
