Gathering some info for color matches for CNJ diesels. Whats a close color match for the green the CNJ used on their SD35 diesels and who makes it? Would this also be a good match for an F3? And the blue that was used on the SD40 diesel(I think these were obtain in the "almost merged" period with the B&O, so it's probably a blue the B&O used). What's a good match for this blue? Lastly, there seems to be at least one SD40 that was painted red. What is a good match for this red? Thanks for your help
Mark
I've heard C&NW green is the same as CNJ green. I would also use C&O Enchantment Blue for the late blue. The red I can't say, but I would think any Caboose Red ought to be close enough.

JWB is right. C&NW green is the same as what the CNJ called deep Sea Green. I believe they are the same DuPont color #. As for the Blue,,, I don't know as I model the CNJ before the SD were around. I have used BAR blue and D&RGW yellow on a set of F-3's with very nice results.
Here are a few examples of the C&NW green in use.
I'll have to take a few pics of the F-3's and post them later.

e-paw, I am also looking to do a set of f3's like yours, the sea green ones. Where did you get the "Jersey Central Lines" decals on the b unit?
