NS local working through Conover NC.  The train struck at car at the next crossing. No one was injured but the car was a total loss.

June 23, 2004. Vandergrift, Pa. Kiski Valley Railroad. This belonged to one of my volunteers. He has passed away and the railroad has been gone now for over 15 years. It was a lot of fun to go and run live steam. The track was 15 inch gauge.

12 years ago Wayne and I spent some time while they were loading a  Kiski Junction coal train at Logansport, Pa. It was a 10 mile trip north of Schenley and return.

Those ties and track are the look I always try to recreate before I ballast track - the periodic random nature of tie replacement means that you get a hodge podge of colors.
