... or has The Gauge been quite slow on posts for the last couple of weeks?
Are you guys hanging out on other forums? Or just spending all your time in The Gauge Chat?

It's not just you, Gary and it's not just at Big Blue either: the Trains site is also pretty quiet - still the same cadre of regulars posting, but mostly re-hashing previously posted stuff. Our kitbash challenge is keeping some of us occupied, while the nice weather (in some places) may be beckoning others.
Look on the bright side, though: if we were still over at Zealot/crowdgather, it'd be like this all of the time!

Maybe it has to do with me too. I'm pretty excited about having my building almost complete, so I am almost constantly thinking about the layout. Trackplan, uncouplers, turn-out controls, wiring, scenery, structures, operations. I have accumulated most of my materials for the electrical aspects on the layout - here is a photo of the huge mess in my workroom!
DIN rail, angle iron, wire, 3-way switches, relays, pushbuttons, terminal blocks, boxes, and packing trash, in addition to the normal tons of tools, rollingstock, paints, glue, rags, junk...

When she does come near it, her comment is "You need to clean up this mess!" As soon as the interior of the new building is finished and painted, all this stuff will be moved out there.

No its not just you Gary. I know I work in fits and starts. I'll do a crap load of work, progress and then just kinda slowly back away for months. Most times when I do approach the layout, I just look at it and turn it on just to make sure it still works. Sometime though, I don't even turn it on... I just look at it. But when I get the itch, I move on it like gangbusters.
The last thing I want is feel like I have to work on the layout as opposed to want to work on it. I get better results this way too, as I'm more interesting in doing a good job then just getting the job done.

Hi Gary---being retired,my daily routine includes a healthy dose of checking out Big Blue.As well,I have the time to take photos and make contributions to various threads, primarily in the Shutterbug section.Sometimes I feel remiss that I do not respond to other members threads but I do appreciate each and every contribution. It's interesting that the total membership is still relatively small considering the excellent quality of Big Blue( a credit to the administrators, moderators and members).Sure,I would like to see more pictures from more members but I am still very happy to be part of this great group ---thanks to Everyone

It's spring and that means there's more time for real trains. My models will get packed up for another seven or eight months.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I've been wondering if you guys have been frequenting other train forums. The Gauge is the only one that I am a member of.

I'm still working through a long "honey do" list. I only frequent two model railroad forums, Big Blue and the one at Model Railroad Hobbyist E-mag, but my list of projects has kept me from spending the time on the forums that I used to spend.

I have notice a slow down on most forums except the Atlas and Trainboard forums those seem to be the busiest the year around.
