It is always a pleasure to present my pictures to such a well-meaning bunch. Thank you for your very kind comments, but you are aware that your comments encourage me to post some more?
Tom, bad news first. I am using "Heki wild grass", but it does not seem to be available in the U.S. (at least I could not find it). Even Scenic Express (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.sceneryexpress.com/products.asp?dept=1216">http://www.sceneryexpress.com/products.asp?dept=1216</a><!-- m -->) who carries almost the whole range of Heki products, has not got my Heki wild grass (#HK1840, #HK1841, #HK1861) listed on their site. As far as I know, it is one of their latest products, so there is still hope that it will be available in the future. The big advantage of the Heki wild grass over other similar products like the Silflor lawns and pastures or the Heki decograss (Heki #HK1573 through #HK1594) is its silicone like backing that prevents glue soaking through to the top and makes working with this grass very easy. It comes in sheets of 45 x 17 cm (18" x 6.7") and the price (for the same amount of grass, not the sheet) is a bit below the Silflor grass mats.
**** EDIT: The Heki grass I am using is available at Scenic Express now. Search for "Heki wild grass": <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.sceneryexpress.com/searchprods.asp">http://www.sceneryexpress.com/searchprods.asp</a><!-- m -->. #HK1840, #HK1841, #HK1861 are among the items displayed on the first page of results. ****
Stuart, I concur with Wayne, glad you made it over here and I am really looking forward even to see the lack of your progress!

That’s true, but he ran out of fuel .
Especially after flying all the way from Southern Ontario to Miami. Knowing Barney with the help of GERN Liquid Flux Fuel Additive he probably flew that plane 3 % further and 3 % of that distance on nothing but fumes.
A few days ago I had this new, clean Athearn RTR boxcar in the mail ..........nice, isn’t it? .....Well, too nice for my liking , so I turned it into one of those patched AGR cars – I love patches. The Alabama and Gulf Coast Railway is only a shortline, but they seem to have more cars than would fit on their tracks the same time and you find them all over Florida. I did not want to make an exact copy of an existing car, so I chose AGR 1012, a car I haven’t seen a picture of. But I know that all cars numbered AGR 1000 through AGR 1190 are exactly the type of car I am modeling and they all have black patches for the reporting marks. So my AGR 1012 will fit perfectly into the proto-freelance scheme of my layout.
I hope, you forgive me for doing this to the nice BNSF car
Kurt,
Have been following your thread and can't say anything more that hasn't already been posted, you truely do some amazing modeling. In your last post you mentioned boxcars that are seen in Fla. , this might interest you. Florida Crystals is a sugar producer from Palm Beach County.
