Don't ever expect to see anything like this in the U.S. any time in the next 100 years or so. Our whole concept of civil engineering and construction is totally different. Here we do not push the limits of anything, just build it cheap and inadequate with no consideration to how it can be upgraded when it is time. When it comes to maintaining these type of structures, just put it off as long as possible, or wait until it's too late and it starts to fall down. There is no pride put into anything, just make sure the politicians get the inside of their pockets stuffed.
Videos like this just depress me because we have fallen so far behind the rest of the world in this area, and I see no hope for any improvement for at least a generation or two.
