Loco identification help

Hi Guys,
A buddy over here took this picture and would like to know what it is .... i think it may be GM from what i can fine out about it on the net but no positive identification.

Absolutely no idea, but several attempts with Google yielded:

which is apparently a model of a Lima product. Subsequent searches were not fruitful... Sad

Thanks for trying i have been all over the Net looking for him and havnt seen this picture of the model i'll pass it on to him Thumbsup

Close, but no cigar! As you can see from these pictures, it's actually a Co+Co arrangement.

Still looking for more info...

This photo http://www.53a-pix.co.uk/picture/Cracoe-RY-110802.jpg identifies a very similar (or the same) engine as a Hunslet Co-Co shunter (switcher).

Hunslet is a British loco builder, it seems: http://www.brc-stockbook.co.uk/Hunslett.htm, http://www.hunsletengine.com. Builds industrial locomotives.

They have a new diesel hydraulic engine coming out now: http://www.hunsletengine.com/downloads/N...eaflet.pdf. Cab and body style of the new engine also has a family resemblance to the engine you showed a picture of.
