Just out of curiosity, I wonder if RADIO SHACK sell radios anymore.. :?

I was upset when Kentucky Fried Chicken became KFC and now I see where Jack-in-the-Box is now calling itself just, "Jack". Wallbang

Isn't that a basketball player? Wonder if they will get sued, or wonder if he will do endorsements for them.

In Canada, I think Radio Shack is now called "The Source". Rob

That's right up there with Howard Johnstons going to "HoJo"... 35 35

Andrew

PS. Yes, Radio Scrap in Canada is "The Source by Circuit City". They may be something (corporately) different now, since I think they were bankrupt in the spring, but restructured.

This is a cry for help. In many cases, names are changed for ease of use, IBM, IHOP and the likes, but moves like this seem to tell me that someone thinks they're loosing business by keeping "radio" in their name and they've lost brand identity because of it. A real pity that nothing remains the same as changing times calls for new ways for businesses to keep afloat. Jack-in-the-box started their downward spiral when they blew up Jack on TV some 20 years ago. The found it tough to get rid of him, let's hope that "The Shack" doesn't regret getting rid of radios. Remember, the government thinks you should have an emergency radio on hand at all times. Icon_lol

Ahh, I can see it now, the have a ready-made spokesperson. I just hope you all like basketball. :o

Too late! Radical Shack died years ago when they made the move to cut the electronics parts line, and go with computers, games, and cell phones.
My "opinion"?, in five words......good riddance to bad rubbish.
We always learn far more from our own mistakes, than we will ever learn from another's advice.
The greatest place to live life, is on the sharp leading edge of a learning curve.
Lead me not into temptation.....I can find it myself!
