Budd Rail Diesel Cars on C&O
#1
Hi Folks!

Just a short question: had the C&O Budd RDC's on their roster? If yes, in which years?

Greetings from Bavaria!

I don't think they did. Checking with the C&O Historical Scociety, and the Budd RDC Historical site, I didn't see any RDC's for the C&O.
Dosen't mean you can't have them though.......

I went to my Happy Place, but it was closed for renovations.

I haven't run across any pictures or listing of the C&O running a RDC, but the B&O did, if that helps in any way.

I found this right off, and don't have time to search more today, http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_q ... 8135/pg_3/
My engineer, who also models C&O says yes, they did have RDC's.

Yes,the C&O had Budd RDCs but,IMHO the Butthead doodle bugs looked better.

Hi at all!

Thanks for your postings! Right now, it will be easier to make a choice for a RDC for my (growing) C&O empire!

Greeting from Germany!

They did have 6 of them. They bought 3 of them from C&NW & 3 from Minneapolis and St. Paul. #9060, 61, 62 & 9080, 81, 82. The best I can do on the dates is late 50s
