Jim, GERN is a fictitious industry that my brother dreamt-up about 50 years ago. I'll eventually be starting a GERN thread in the Industries Forum (as soon as I get some pictures re-sized), but 'til then here's a LINK to some info and pictures at Zealot. Currently, there are almost two dozen people modelling GERN in some form or another, and more are always welcome. Photos of my original GERN facility are HERE and those of Gary S. HERE

GERN Flux is an industry started on Dr Wayne's layout with the tag line "If its GERN, its Good" Gern Flux is a universal product that can be used for anything known to man. It is a universal adhesive as well as a universal solvent while also being a universal cleaner. As near as I can tell it conducts electricity better than anything else on the planet, but also is an insulator. It can be shipped in any freight car, since it seems to exist as a liquid or a solid simultaneously. Have I left anything out about the product Wayne?

You forgot to mention that as well as an industrial or mechanical product additive, there is also Food Grade Flux. Making mom's lumpy gravy taste 3% better.

It also makes just about any brand of beer, scotch, rye, rum, just about any alcoholic bevie 3% better.
