Vintage Midwest Rail Action
#1
Last year I purchased a portion of the slide collection of John Uckley of Monroe, Michigan. Most of the slides are original 35mm Kodachromes but there are also a number of 6x6 Ektachromes as well. Unfortunately I have not been able to track down Mr. Uckley in the intervening months. The appearance of his original slides for sale would seem to signal his untimely passing, but I have not been able to find evidence of his death either.

While the search continues I have begun cataloging the collection and scanning the best photos for preservation with the help of a friend. I have have posted some of them to my flickr account to share with other railroad enthusiasts. As of today there are currently 182 photos online and I hope to add more later this month.

Enjoy!

NICE collection!!!! I especially like the pics taken at the Miami Cut Branch. With the bridge and diverging rail lines this scene would be great to model!
Thanks for showing these terrific photos.
