Rochester & Southern 8-23-10

I recently visited Rochester, New York and had some time to get trackside. On a Monday evening I chased a Rochester & Southern salt train north into the city:

I really like GWI's paint scheme.. Thumbsup I have often thought about buying one of Atlas's G&W RS1.

Salt train? Is this inbound or outbound salt?

I always enjoy the photos, RO. Some good stuff.

What is the building in the photo? It looks like it is being used as a nursery. The wood shelving seems to have plants on top of it? Would make a nice layout scene.

It's a former station. I didn't pay much attention to what it is now as I was in chase mode when I snapped that shot. Your guess from the photo is as good as mine.

Yeah,in chase mode all eyes on train and traffic-no time to fiddle faddle around just stop, hop out, frame and shoot the picture, hop back into the car and continue the chase...

Done that many times over the years.
