Just a quick question for anyone who feels like commenting:
Do we need to add any more forums to Big Blue?? Ex. separate the scales, add more scales, more topics, etc.
just reply to this thread and we'll see how much interest there is. If someone suggests something, please comment on the idea, so we know there is interest. The more comments we have about a certain idea, the more likely it will be that we use the idea!!

You know I'm O gauge but I really don't think we have enough to support it as I would love to see it but I personally like the coffee pot/campfire type things best. usually I can get most answers in them and faster than having another forum. If there was an just O probably would go in but most of my stops still would be here in the hobo campfire

I agree with RT about the Hobo campfire being the most popular forum here on the Gauge Big Blue. Being that this forum is hooked to the internet it could grab attention more from the global hobby than it already does. Keep the large scales grouped togrther for now. A new forum for European modeling/toy train operating would be neat. I am sure there are North American modelers out there with Euro themed layouts as there are European with North American layouts. Just a thought on broadening the scope ot the "World's" greatest hobby.
As for the other forums it is great to learn what other scales have to teach us all.

For the reason given by rrtraincollector. I sometimes wonder if this site may have too many forums. The more subforums there are, the less traffic each one gets. And if one truly wants a response, they may be better off posting in a general forum that gets more traffic. I usually just click on "view new posts", and read whatever new posts there are, rather than browse the individual forums.

We can look in to seeing which forums are slowest and maybe combining them. We evaluated them a year ago but I don't think we made many changes.

I'll add my vote for a track planning forum. So many interesting layout plans have been and continue to be posted on here. I think it would be great if these plans along with descriptions of what they are based on, how they would be operated, etc., could be in one convenient location. Then if any one uses the plans or goes on to actually build the plan, that could be posted in the Layouts section, as is currently being done.

That is what I usually do as well, unless I get an email saying that one of my subscribed threads has new activity. If that be the case, I examine them first, then check new posts.
