I just skimmed through the video w/o listening to the audio so I don't know if he mentioned this, but I recall the cool mural and the the loco cab being featured years ago in either MR or RMC. I don't remember the passenger car though. Amazing! Fun to see it as a video.

I would love to see a write up on the entire build. I wonder how they got all those parts down into the basement? It looks really cool and quite amazing. It also looks like it took a lot of work and time and money to build it.

I remember seeing the early stages of all that in an early 90s MR mag. He had to knock out part of a basement wall to get the F unit in there, it actually comes apart between the cab and the nose. He can run the layout from it and yes, the light and horn do function. He built it all to be movable, a feat that was tested a few years back when he had to move. In both cases, the basement wall was built in a way that made it "easy" to remove (at least in an academic sense). Good to see his progress...thanks for the link. Thumbsup
