Seems like most times I think to look up at the chat room count I only see "1". When I did get involved years ago I'd find that the time zipped by and before I knew it I was up past my bed time. Smile

Well, it will be interesting to see if your thread prompts more interest in the chat. Thanks for doing that!

I hope so, at least every night around 10:00 was popular time, especially on mondays.

I know there's plently of stragglers that come in at random times and don't come back on since no one is there

In addition to this forum and modeling, I have my own Samoyed discussion group on yahoo. Since May of 2009 there have been 94,522 messages with the group having 69 members. We are a family group many of us involved with rescue, so between this forum and the topics I respond to, my modeling, and the Yahoo group I don't have the extra time required for a chat room. I do try to read every post on Blue and will respond when I feel I have something worthwhile to post.

Looks like the Samoyed Yahoo group is just as popular as the Pug Yahoo Group I belong to , Charlie .

My excuse , let's see , the dog ate my homework ! . No , that was my High school excuse . No excuse , just not my thing . I was on a model car forum chat room , tried several times , gave up on it . Such is life .

I usually just miss you guy by a second, or fall asleep without realizing it if its late at night.

Yesterday we had a discussion about Johne's disease in cattle...I got a real education. Never heard of it before.

Well I'll be dipped. I never knew there was a chat room. Since timing and other duties seem to keep people from participating, perhaps it would be best to set up a particular time one or two nights a week (such as 8pm ET on Tuesdays) and then advertise with a message on that day reminding everyone.

I guess I avoid "chat rooms", because my fingers cannot "punch keys" as fast as my mind can come up with words to speak.
Chat rooms are kind of like communication by semaphore signaling, or flashing light.
Posting in threads like this one can be relaxing, because there is no "urgency" in getting the keys punched, and I can preview, and correct before sending. Even with that, there are occasional misunderstandings of what I meant, because of the words I chose, and/or the absence of "vocal expression" to color in the complete intention of the comment.
Then, there is the "too much time spent at the computer, and that cuts into "living" time.
Finally, I am old, My computer is old and slow, and there are too many other things that need to be done.
Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin "Time on the computer" is also one of my, *too often used excuses* for not getting projects worked on. :o Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin
