Using sub-terrain foam on layouts

I'd like to use the woodland scenices foam for my layout for different grades, anyone that uses foam how do you mount the track work? Glue or nails?

I use Elmer's white glue.

If you use flex track will the nails hold the track in place for curves while the glue dries or will the tension rip the foam?

On my old 4x8, I used a home made version of the risers. I found that the flex stayed in place well by using long straight pins instead of the shorter track nails. You can pull them out or paint the heads once the glue dries.

I went the bulletproof route and used green (waterbased?) contact cement. But that was plain track; I haven't figured out how to do switches.

I use push pins or track nails to hold curves in place while the glue dries then remove them like Andrew says. Just remember not to put glue under the slide bar part of the switches.
