NASCAR needs to take a good hard look at itself. The stands are 50%-75% empty anymore and the TV ratings have slipped so bad over half the races are farmed out to cable channels. They need to go back to the short tracks and lose all the 1.5 to 2 mile tracks where they just go round and round and get back to knocking the doors off of each other . That was the beauty of the short track, the speeds were low enough they could beat and pound on each other and nobody would get hurt. Golf, soccer and tiddly winks are more exciting to watch than NASCAR currently is. I don't care what anyone says about watching to see good door handle to door handle racing. If they ain't wrecking the people aren't watching.
