Saw this on the CNJ Bronx Terminal blog.
10% More Heat - 10% Less Ash. I think its quite possible that they were using Gern Flux Fuel Burning Additives to achieve such lofty numbers.

Man...I think I need to pick up some of these colourful little box cars. Just rolling works of art.

Thanks for the cool pic! Almost makes me homesick for Iowa....NAH!! Yeah, I'd like to have a collection of some of those rolling billbaords, too. Maybe I'll luck out and find some this weekend at the VA Beach trainshow.
I only know what I know, and I don't understand very much of it, either.

wow, nice pic.every once in a while i see one or 2 pre-war tinplate bill-board reefers but never thought anythng of them.but im kickin myself now! those originals are worth a butt-load and make very nice collectors items.
and the TRUE reason its 10% better at heating and 10% cleaner is the fact that gern made a superflux in the early 20's until it was cancelled since it was too powerful and the U.S govt banned it because of ill-fated side effects......

I love those billboards. All I can find though is the reefers.
