Been catching up on your new layout build, great work as always. Don't know if your aware but a company called Rusty Stumps, https://www.rustystumps.com , has come out with an assortment of hvac fittings to make up ductwork. They enclose a list of Evergreen compatible sized tubing to use, which you have to purchase, for the fittings.

That ducting looks great! I intended to do some ducting as I did it in the past (not as good as rustystumps) but in Westgate is no ducting on top of the roofs. I assume they have it all inside under the roof. But .....

That is a great inspiration and I tried it without the fittings from Rust Stumps (waiting weeks for the pickup notification letter from the local customs office is not my cup of tea).
The fitting seams are 1x1mm and the stands are 1x2mm H profile. Just the half would have been better as recommended by Rusty Stumps. There is great information in the internet if you search for "HVAC standards".

Two MP15AC in the traditional YN2 paint scheme join the Westgate switcher fleet. The local shop applied the standard upgrade from DC to Tsunami 2 and bulb to LED.
I could not get that Athearn Genesis models from any local source but eBay US had them with international shipping available.

One look at the amount of rust and corrosion on that ductwork and OSHA would close down the business as creating an unhealthy working environment. I would hate to even imagine what would be growing inside ductwork that poorly maintained.

The first attempt of green looked a lot like a perfect maintained golf course. NOCH 7101 and 7111 look better

The new layout experiences it's first spring and like all nature is it growing.
The wooden hatch at the room door did not fit anymore and needed a tad of sanding to fit smooth between the north and south parts. But that's scenery only. The rails on the balcony door experienced some growth! To sad I could not use the extra 1/50" of iron and had to grind it down.
I am optimistic the layout will shrink in autumn and become much more handy

I could not resist and got two huge Walthers Mainline ES44AC for my small switching layout.....
One became a dummy with a defect Tsunami 2 to do the flashing ditch lights the other got functioning GE Tsunami 2. The ditch lights are replaced with prewired 0402 LEDs and Shapeways supplied the GPS and PTC antennas.
