I am not a fan of restrictor plate races either although I think they are only at Daytona and Talladega?
It is more of a crap shoot with some really good cars getting wiped out through no fault of their own....... it is just pure luck sometimes the way some drivers make it throught the melee and others get caught up in them.
Appears, thankfully, that Newman is going to be OK although I doubt he will be driving for a while. This morning they said his condition was serious but not life threatening.
