     Don, did it require a special permit to trim that cactus? 

No, just as long as I don't move it. Arizona requires a permit anytime you take a cactus out of the ground, even if it's on your property. Trimming it is a safety issue and I still have more to trim, my biggest concern is that the HOA will tag me for littering since I can only throw a few pieces at a time in the garbage due to the weight.
